Tonight’s Weather: Mostly Cloudy and Chilly

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 26 degrees. Winds will be light and variable, so it will feel calm despite the chill. This sets the stage for a cold start to the weekend, so make sure to dress warmly if you’re heading out late.

Saturday Brings Showers and Rising Temperatures

Saturday will see a shift in weather with showers mainly arriving after 2 p.m. The high temperature will reach near 46 degrees, a noticeable rise from tonight’s low. Winds will be calm in the morning but will pick up to 5 to 7 mph from the southeast in the afternoon. There is an 80% chance of precipitation, with new rainfall amounts expected between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

This means outdoor activities in the afternoon may get interrupted by rain. If you plan to be outside, consider waterproof clothing or an umbrella. The rain will help clear the air but also make roads slick, so drive carefully.

Saturday Night: Rain Intensifies with Stronger Winds

Rain will continue into Saturday night, becoming heavier with a 100% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will stay mild, around 41 degrees. Winds will increase from the south at 9 to 16 mph and then shift west after midnight. Gusts could reach as high as 26 mph, which may cause some disruptions, especially for high-profile vehicles or outdoor setups.

Expect new precipitation amounts between a quarter and half an inch, so flooding in low-lying areas is possible. It’s a good idea to secure outdoor furniture and check drainage around your home.

Sunday’s Weather: Rain Showers Transition to Snow

Sunday starts with rain showers before 4 p.m., then transitions to a mix of rain and snow showers. The high will be near 41 degrees, but the wind will be strong from the west at 16 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 33 mph. This wind will make it feel colder than the thermometer suggests.

The chance of precipitation remains high at 90%, so expect a wet and windy day. The mix of rain and snow can create slippery conditions on roads and sidewalks, so take extra care if you need to travel.

Sunday Night: Snow Showers Take Over

As Sunday night arrives, snow showers will become more frequent, possibly mixed with rain at first but turning to all snow after 10 p.m. Temperatures will drop to around 28 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 80%, so expect accumulation on untreated surfaces.

If you have plans late Sunday or early Monday, prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility. Snow removal equipment may be needed by morning.

Monday and Tuesday: Mixed Precipitation and Cooler Temperatures

Monday will bring a chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain showers for the rest of the day. The high will be near 37 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. The chance of precipitation is 50%, so some areas may see light showers while others stay dry.

Monday night continues with a 50% chance of rain and snow showers before 1 a.m., then a chance of snow showers. Temperatures will hover around 30 degrees, keeping conditions cold enough for snow to stick.

Tuesday follows a similar pattern with a chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain showers. The high will be near 40 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. The chance of precipitation drops to 40%, so the weather may start to improve.

Midweek Outlook: Clearing Skies and Milder Weather

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 29 degrees. By Wednesday, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 41 degrees. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy again with a low around 27 degrees.

Thursday offers a chance of showers with partly sunny skies and a high near 45 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 30%, so it may be a lighter day for rain compared to the weekend.

  • Dress in layers to adjust to temperature swings from the 20s to mid-40s.

  • Use waterproof gear like rain jackets and boots on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Drive carefully on wet and icy roads, especially Sunday afternoon and night.

  • Secure outdoor items before Saturday night’s strong winds.

  • Monitor local forecasts for updates on snow accumulation and wind advisories.

By planning ahead, you can enjoy the weekend despite the changing weather. Keep an eye on conditions and adjust your activities as needed.
