Afternoon Weather: Showers and Wind Gusts

This afternoon, expect a chance of showers mainly before 1 p.m. The sky will stay mostly cloudy, with a high near 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will come from the southeast at about 11 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 22 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 40%, and any rainfall will likely be light, less than a tenth of an inch.

If you plan to be outside this afternoon, keep a light rain jacket handy. The wind gusts might make it feel cooler than the temperature suggests, especially if you are near open areas or water.

Evening and Night: Showers and Thunderstorms Likely

Tonight brings a higher chance of rain, with showers and thunderstorms likely before 1 a.m. After that, showers will continue, possibly with more thunderstorms between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., then just showers after 2 a.m. Temperatures will drop to around 53 degrees. Winds will be lighter, coming from the east at 3 to 7 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation rises to 90%, with rainfall amounts between half an inch and three-quarters of an inch possible.

This means the night could be quite wet and stormy. If you have outdoor plans late tonight or early tomorrow, consider rescheduling or preparing for wet conditions.

Winds will be calm in the morning but will shift to the west at 5 to 7 miles per hour in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 80%, with new rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Morning outdoor activities might be damp and foggy, but the afternoon should clear up, making it a better time for barbecues, walks, or other events. The temperature will be comfortable, not too hot or cold.
