Snow Showers and Temperatures Today and Tonight

The sky will remain mostly cloudy, and temperatures will reach a high near 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be calm early on but will pick up slightly from the west at around 6 mph by mid-morning. The chance of precipitation is 30%, so keep an umbrella or snow gear handy if you plan to be outside early.

Tonight, the sky will clear up a bit to partly cloudy conditions, with temperatures dropping to around 16 degrees. Winds will be light and variable, making for a cold but calm night. This drop in temperature means any wet surfaces from earlier snow could freeze, so be cautious if you’re out late.

M.L. King Day Brings More Snow and Wind

On M.L. King Day, snow showers will return after 1 p.m., with a 50% chance of precipitation. Tuesday will bring a chance of snow showers again, with partly sunny skies and a high near 17 degrees. Winds will stay brisk from the west at 13 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 26 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40%, so some snow showers may occur during the day, but there will also be breaks of sunshine.

Preparing for the Week Ahead

With snow showers expected on and off throughout the week and temperatures often below freezing, it’s important to prepare:

  • Dress in layers to stay warm and dry, especially when winds gust strongly.

  • Allow extra travel time as snow and wind can reduce visibility and make roads slippery.

  • Check local weather updates frequently since conditions can change quickly.

  • Keep emergency supplies in your vehicle, including blankets, food, and water.

  • Protect outdoor plants and pets from the cold and snow.
