Staying updated on shifting weather patterns is essential for planning your week, whether you aim to enjoy outdoor adventures in fresh snow or snuggle up indoors. This blog post outlines what to expect, helping you prepare for whatever elements come your way.

Tuesday's Weather Outlook

Today's forecast indicates snow showers in the morning, especially between 10 am and noon, followed by a strong likelihood of rain throughout the day. Cloudy skies will dominate with a high temperature around 38°F. Accompanied by a moderate south wind blowing at 11 to 15 mph, it will feel brisk outside. The chance of precipitation is high at 70%, although little to no snow accumulation is anticipated, so you may want to keep the umbrella handy.

In the evening, the weather will shift again with a chance of snow and rain showers before 10 pm. Expect a slight chance of ongoing snow showers until 1 am. Temperatures will plummet to around 16°F, with winds shifting to the west at 7 to 10 mph. Precipitation chances decrease to 50%, but again, little snow accumulation is expected.

Sunday’s Forecast: A Winter Wonderland?

Looking ahead to Sunday, the forecast predicts snow starting after 1 pm. While cloudy conditions persist, the temperature will only reach about 20°F. Winds from the northwest will blow at 7 to 9 mph, enhancing the chill. There is a 40% chance of precipitation, with new snow accumulation expected to be less than one inch. For example, if you're planning a family outing, be ready for some light snow flurries to create a magical winter scene.

M.L. King Day: Frigid Conditions Ahead

As we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, expect frigid temperatures and a chance of snow showers under mostly cloudy skies. The day's high will hover around 17°F, with light west winds increasing in the morning to about 5 to 10 mph. There's approximately a 40% chance for snow showers, which could beautifully blanket the day’s events.

As night falls on Monday, expect even colder temperatures. There's a slight chance for continued snow showers, but mostly you’ll see partly cloudy skies with a low around 1°F. The chance of precipitation decreases to about 20%.

Midweek Weather: A Gradual Shift

As we enter Tuesday, the forecast shows partly sunny conditions, allowing for a slight warming trend with highs near 13°F. This brief relief from the chill is welcome, but it will still feel quite cold. In the evening, expect mostly cloudy skies as temperatures will dip to around -1°F.

On Wednesday, expect similar partly sunny weather, with a high reaching approximately 14°F. As night approaches, the clouds will remain, and nighttime temperatures may hover around -1°F once again.
