Afternoon and Tonight: Partly Sunny with Snow Chances

This afternoon will be partly sunny with a high near 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds from the northwest will blow around 11 mph, with gusts reaching up to 23 mph. These gusty winds will make it feel colder than the actual temperature, so dress warmly if you’re heading outside.

Tonight, the weather turns more unsettled. There is a 50% chance of snow showers, mainly after 10 p.m. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 10 degrees. Wind chill values could drop to zero, making it feel bitterly cold. Northwest winds will continue at about 10 mph. Snow accumulation will be light, less than half an inch, but enough to create slippery patches on roads and sidewalks.

Tuesday: Snow Showers and Cold Wind Chill

Tuesday brings a chance of snow showers, mostly before 1 p.m., with a 30% chance of precipitation. The high temperature will drop to near 21 degrees, and wind chill values could feel as low as -2 degrees. West winds will blow between 7 and 10 mph, adding to the chill.

Tuesday night will see snow starting after 1 a.m., with an 80% chance of precipitation. The low will be around 12 degrees, and light south winds will increase to 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Snow accumulation could reach up to one inch, so prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility.

Wednesday: Mixed Snow and Rain with Rising Temperatures

Snow is likely before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a mix of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., then snow again after 4 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 70%. Temperatures will rise to a high near 38 degrees. South winds will blow at 9 to 11 mph, shifting to the west in the afternoon.

This mix of precipitation means roads could be wet and icy at different times during the day. Drivers should be cautious, especially during the transition from snow to rain and back to snow.

Wednesday Night through Thursday: Lingering Snow Chances

Wednesday night will bring a 30% chance of snow before 1 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 21 degrees. On Thursday, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 32 degrees and a 30% chance of snow after 1 p.m. Thursday night will have a 40% chance of snow before 1 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low near 18 degrees.

These lingering snow chances mean you should keep an eye on the forecast if you have outdoor activities planned. Temperatures will remain cold, so layering is key.

Friday through Sunday: Warming Trend with Occasional Snow

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 36 degrees and a low around 26 degrees Friday night under partly cloudy skies. Saturday will see mostly sunny conditions with a high near 46 degrees, the warmest day of the week so far. However, Saturday night brings a 30% chance of snow with mostly cloudy skies and a low near 20 degrees.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 27 degrees, signaling a return to cooler temperatures.

What This Means for You

  • Dress in layers to handle fluctuating temperatures and wind chill values that can feel below zero.

  • Prepare for slippery roads and sidewalks especially during and after snow showers. Even light snow can create hazardous conditions.

  • Monitor weather updates throughout the week as snow chances and precipitation types change frequently.

  • Plan outdoor activities carefully, especially on days with higher snow chances and colder wind chills.
